For fans of Harry Potter who cannot wait for the announced J.K. Rowling Harry Potter spin-off trilogy, have we got news for you. The Harry Potter Hogwarts Collection will arrive in stores on April 29 and will feature 31 discs that include all eight movies and 45-plus hours of special features!
In 2012, Warner Bros. released The Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection, and completely sold out of all 30,000 sets that were created. Given that the demand was still high for a “get all the Harry Potter movies and bonus features in one spot” collection, Warner will release Harry Potter Hogwarts Collection at the end of the month.
The highlight of this set has to be the eight-part documentary Creating the World of Harry Potter. There is no such thing as too much insight for any Potter fan, and by the conclusion of their eight-part doc, fans should be more than satisfied. But, what’s so awesome about this set is that doc is just the tip of the iceberg!
The package includes Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part one and two.
That eight part doc’s eight chapters are broken into categories that could not be more perfect in titles and what they explore.
They are:
- Creating the World of Harry Potter - Part 1: The Magic Begins
- Creating the World of Harry Potter - Part 2: Characters
- Creating the World of Harry Potter - Part 3: Creatures
- Creating the World of Harry Potter - Part 4: Sound & Music
- Creating the World of Harry Potter - Part 5: Evolution
- Creating the World of Harry Potter - Part 6: Magical Effects
- Creating the World of Harry Potter - Part 7: Story
- Creating the World of Harry Potter - Part 8: Growing Up
Then, you’ll want to explore the three hours of features covered in:
The Harry Potters You Never Met: Meet the stunt doubles for Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as they demonstrate how they balanced major stunt work while seamlessly mimicking the actors they represented.
Designing the World of Harry Potter: Explore how production designer Stuart Craig and his creative team brought J.K. Rowling's imagination to life on the screen.
