There’s something AWESOME in the neighborhood…

Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and Melissa McCarthy are starring in an all-female reboot of the classic film Ghostbusters.

But who you gonna call when you need the ladies???

Chris Hemsworth on Twitter

Chris Hemsworth!  That's who!!

Hemsworth has been cast as the receptionist in the upcoming film.  Last night, director Paul Feig tweeted a picture Hemworth saying “Our receptionist. #whoyougonnacall.”

In the original film, Annie Potts played the role of the receptionist for Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson’s characters.

Will the ladies be able to bust some ghosts without being distracted by last year’s sexiest man alive???

“Those four ladies I have starring in it are so funny and that’s half the battle,” Feig said in a recent interview about the Ghostbuster remake.

“I’m going to battle with the best army I have.

"My whole crew from all my other movies have come aboard, and some great special effects people have come aboard - I have never really done this level of effects before - and I’m excited!”

The movie is set to release in July 2016.

Legendary actor Sir Christopher Lee passed away Sunday, June 7.  He was 93.

After being admitted into Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London for respiratory issues and heart failure, the actor, who was knighted in 2009, died.

Christopher Lee as Saruman

Lee’s acting career began in 1947.  By the time of his passing, he had achieved 281 acting credits on his resume.

He is most well-known for playing Saruman the White in the Lord of the Rings franchise.

But his acting credits span a variety of iconic roles, including Dooku in Star Wars and Count Dracula in a series of vampire films throughout the ‘50s and into the ‘70s.

His most recent and final film was Angels in Notting Hill, which was released in 2014.

Christopher was slated to act in The 11th with Uma Thurman.  However, it was in preproduction when he passed.

Lee is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Birgit “Gitte” Kroencke and daughter Christina.

Our most heartfelt condolences go out to his loved ones.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Revisiting An Adorable Kid and His Pet Robot

With the promise of Terminator: Genisys at our doorstep, there is no time like the present to look back at the franchise.

Here to make your wishes come true is Screen Junkies with their latest Honest Trailer for Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Was it always meant to be just another sweet movie about another adorable kid and their pet robot, but a hell of a lot more f*cking intense??

The Honest Trailer points out all of the things we've probably thought about and discussed with our friends while watching the movie too many times to admit, such as why an R-rated movie would be marketed to kids; why the T-1000, who could take any shape, would be sporting those ears; and how in the heck we ever put up with all those groan inducing one liners from Arnie.

The most shocking moment might be learning the first choice for Arnold Schwarzenegger's role...OJ Simpson?! There are some things worth celebrating after all.

Watch, laugh, cry and share with your friends.

Assassin's Creed: Ariane Labed Joins Cast

It's been nearly three years since we first brought you news that Ubisoft Motion Pictures would be bringing to cinemas a feature film version of their incredibly successful video game, Assassin's Creed.

With production slated to start in September, Ariane Labed has joined the cast, starring Michael Fassbender (Prometheus) and Marion Cotillard (Inception).

Labed has been receiving raves from her role in The Lobster, starring Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz, as well as a host of awards for other roles, so locking her in now seems like a prudent move.

Ariane Labed

Assassin's Creed follows a man (Fassbender) who is kidnapped by a secret organization and sent back in time repeatedly in order to gain historical artifacts from his assassin ancestors. I'm sure it makes a lot more sense when you see it, and it is probably a heck of a lot of fun to play in video game format.

The film is currently scheduled for release on December 21, 2016.

Creed: Second Movie Still Features Rocky Passing the Torch

Attention fight fans!

As we get closer to the November 25 release date of Creed, more details will continue to trickle out about the upcoming flick. Up now is photo number two, featuring fan favorite Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) training Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) some of his magical moves at the speed bag.

Adois in Training

We've already shared the Creed synopsis, and noticed things getting a little dusty in the room (don't just look at us, pass the tissues!) at the thought the biggest fight in Rocky's life might pertain something outside the ring like, oh, you know...cancer or another life-endangering illness.

For now, Rocky is looking fairly dapper in his signature hat and jacket, ever the patient and kind-hearted man, taking his one-time opponent and eventual friend's son, Adonis, under his wing despite not really wanting him to get into the ring, given what happened to Apollo Creed against Drago in Rocky IV.

Whew! There is a lot of history to break down before making your way into the theater to see Creed, isn't there?

Fear not, you can watch Rocky online right here. Why not start at the beginning? Although Rocky II has better love scenes. Just sayin' – there may be a girl in your life who's into that sort of thing. Or something.

Masterminds Official Trailer: $17 Million Worth of Double Cross!

Good news, everybody!! That blip in the radar with Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell on Lifetime? We won't have to think about that for much longer, because she's teaming up with Zach Galifianakis, Jason Sudeikis, Owen Wilson and Kate McKinnon in Masterminds.

Masterminds is your typical boy meets girl, girl works at Loomis, boy gets hooked into helping to rob Loomis, boy is double crossed when girl's friends turn out to be nitwits because boy is a successful robber and scores everyone $17 million and they need a scapegoat... You know the story, right?

With this crowd, and this type of typical boy meets girl story, we're talking funny. Honestly, Zach G. sporting the silly southern accent is enough to get me giggling, but if he's going to get bullets whizzing between his butt cheeks? Yeah, I'm in.

Take a look at the trailer and let us know if you're going to be kickin' back with a refillable bucket of popcorn and a two gallon soda on August 19.

Aaron Eckhart to Star in Real Time Action Flick Live!

The concept behind the upcoming action flick Live! is pretty cool, and now it has a star attached: Aaron Eckhart.

Eckhart plays Kyle Penny, a disgraced cop on the hunt to rescue the police commissioner's daughter who has been kidnapped and is hidden somewhere within the city, given only 80 minutes to live.

For reasons unbeknownst to us, Penny's only hope is teaming up with an ambitious reporter who films the wild chase to save a life live, while a deranged killer is hot on Penny's tail.

Aaron Eckhart Stars in I, Frankenstein

Live! will be filmed in real time, so we can guess the movie will come in just over the 80 minutes of chase time it takes for Penny to find and save (because, duh) the commissioner's daughter. You also have to ponder why a disgraced cop would be tasked with finding saving a life so sacred. The deranged killer must have demanded. Damn those deranged killers.

We're also expecting some kick-ass single-take tracking-shots reminiscent of the spectacular six minute scene that had everyone all aflutter in True Detective Season 1, because otherwise, why film in real time?

Eckhart has starred in other action films such as The Dark Knight, Olympus Has Fallen and Battle Los Angeles. He's currently finishing up production on the Olympus sequel, London Has Fallen right now.

The Secret Life of Pets Teaser Trailer: Big, Big Plans!

So maybe you have installed spy cameras at home, and you know exactly what your pets are doing.

Probably the rest of us...don't.

Now I don't know about you, but I've never known a dog to be shy about scooting by scratching his butt on the carpet, so that's not a surprise. If the little bugger is turning on the standing mixer to use as a combination massage/back scratcher, not only is it surprising, I'm getting some good ideas here!

The Secret Life of Pets will feature the voices of Louis C.K., Kevin Hart, Eric Stonestreet, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell and a host of others as it becomes the happily owned pets versus an army of abandoned pets seeking revenge in a Manhattan apartment building.

It's hard to pick a side when even the "evil" pets out for revenge have been abandoned! I'm smelling a happy ending for all involved, right? For now, let's just keep watching the teaser trailer until we have more to savor or until the release date of July 8, whichever comes first!

17 Menacing Movie Monsters: CGI That Scared the Pants Off of You

Do you have monsters that infiltrate your nightmares? Have any of them come straight out of the movies?

If so, we're betting some of them might be found in this slideshow. Jurassic World is steaming up the box office right now with a man made dinosaur, the Indominous-Rex. Would mankind ever be so stupid to create something hell bent on their destruction? If they're writing it in a screenplay, it's probably crossed the mind of someone in real life.

Flip around the slideshow and let us know who we missed!

1. Indominus-Rex (Jurassic World)

Indominus rex jurassic world
It's hard to beat the original 90s CGI of the T-Rex from Jurassic Park, but the I-Rex definitely managed to wow audiences if the soaring box office sales are any indication. It beats the animatronic dinosaurs from earlier movies, that's for sure!

2. Davy Jones (Pirates of the Caribbean)

Davy jones pirates of the caribbean
If this guy doesn't count as a monster, then I don't know what does. Davy Jones and the rest of his crew were part man, part fish, and Jones' octopus face in particular was perfectly disgusting.

3. Fellbeasts (Lord of the Rings)

Fellbeasts lord of the rings
Somewhere between a dragon and a snake, these flying monsters were nearly as terrifying as the ring wraiths that rode them. Over the course of three movies, we only got a few closeups of the Fellbeasts, but they had some impressive CGI, nonetheless.

4. Optimus-Rex (Transformers: Age of Extinction)

Optimus rex transformers age of extinction
Come on, how can you beat Optimus Prime riding a robotic dinosaur decepticon? The Transformer movies are practically 90% CGI at this point, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

5. Chitauri (The Avengers)

Chitauri the avengers
Forget little green men, these aliens were merciless killing machines with huge flying slugs on their sides. Most of the Chitauri were played by stunts guys, but gems like this were flawlessly animated!

6. Toruk (Avatar)

Toruk avatar
Everything on Pandora seemed to be a new and exciting creation, straight out of the mind of James Cameron, but Toruk in particular was damn impressive, and he absolutely makes this movie monster cut.

Daddy's Home Trailer: Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Duke it Out for Father of the Year

$

When Will Ferrell and Donnie Wahlberg first teamed up on The Other Guys, things went really well. Now that the first trailer has been released for their reunion feature Daddy's Home, we can rest easy, because it's smooth sailing ahead...again.

You know when you see a trailer in the theater the first time and you laugh along with the crowd because, well, everyone is doing it? Yeah, that's not what happened here. I was alone in my room, laughing out loud like the village idiot (watch before you judge me).

If the full length movie is as funny as the trailer, um, to put it bluntly, don't buy the large coke at the snack stand.

The tagline is, "When a divorced guy's ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc."

Farrell's character doesn't seem all that uptight. After all, he takes it pretty easy when his step-daughter tells him she drew a picture featuring poop on his head. He readily jumps on a motorcycle hoping to prove he's as cool as the ex. Wahlberg, as the ex, is definitely jealous of his ex's (Linda Cardinelli) decision to go with a financially responsible, "curly headed step-king with good credit." The two are in the battle of the ages!

Take a look, and let me know if you're looking forward to this gift under the Christmas tree as much as I am.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation Trailer: A Whole Lot to Love

I've seen different trailers for Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol with several different audience types and the reaction is always the same, resoundingly positive.

Apparently, that's the exact reaction test audiences are giving the movie as it's going through that phase right now. Choosing the classic Led Zeppelin song Whole Lotta Love to play along with the trailer seems to be allowing a lot of it to rain down on the production.

The trailer has everything we've come to expect from the Mission: Impossible franchise, Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt doing the impossible (diving into that tiny bit of water from above a high rise, hanging on the side of a plane as it takes off) and his trusty sidekicks (Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg) standing by his side through thick and thin.

With a sixth installment supposedly already under way, we seriously doubt we're going to see the end of the IMF, but the fight to save it looks like a hell of a lot of fun.

Sinister 2 Trailer: Bughuul is Back, Can He Deliver?

$

There was something incredibly creepy about Sinister. No matter which way you sliced it, it was almost impossible to shake the feeling that something just wasn't right after watching.

The way events unfolded, allowing us to make the journey with Ethan Hawke's character (even while he make ridiculously silly decisions, alone, that continued leading him down a dark path and eventually to a rather silly reveal of Bughuul) hit all the right notes for fresh and frightening horror.

Sinister 2, however, will have the kids taking over Hawke's journey. They'll be the inquisitive ones, popping up the old reel-to-reel and unleashing the evil that want, ultimately, to take them over to do his evil bidding. At least that's what I'm gathering from the trailer.

James Ransone is back as So & So (and he was the brightest part of Sinister), doing his thing as a detective. Hopefully he'll save the day and get the girl. There has to be a reason the twins come to us by way of a single mother (Shannyn Sossaman).

While the snuff movies will no doubt still be disturbing, their tarnish has worn off now that we know the purpose behind them. The kids gathering to rope others into joining them will seem like old hat and the presence of Bughuul doesn't promise to offer much other than Ring-like shock value.

However, it's just a trailer, and Sinister was a surprise, so when all is said and done, let's see if Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill can team up with Ciarian Foy and deliver on the magic they created with Sinister.

Legend Trailer: Tom Hardy Doubles Up as Kray Twins in Brian Helgeland Film

Tom Hardy is big bank across the world, whether in actual dollars or word of mouth and by taking on the roles of both Ronald "Ronnie" Kray and his brother, Reginald "Reggie" Kray in Brian Helgeland's Legend, I'd like to think he's doing the world a favor.

If you saw Locke, you know the man doesn't need any help carrying a movie, but he's giving himself  a little help nonetheless. The Krays were nightclub owners and gangsters in 1960s London. They not only mixed with prominent entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and politicians of the era, but became celebrities in their own right, eventually legends.

As the trailer says, everyone had a story about the Krays. They were twins.

It looks like Hardy is going to make the Krays as magical and alluring on film as they were in life. Starring with Hardy will be Emily Browning, David Thewlis, Christopher Eccleston, Chazz Palminteri, Tara Fitzgerald and Taron Egerton. Quite the crowd!

From Academy Award® winner Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential, Mystic River) comes the true story of the rise and fall of London's most notorious gangsters, Reggie and Ron Kray, both portrayed by Tom Hardy in an amazing double performance.

Legend is a classic crime thriller taking us into the secret history of the 1960s and the extraordinary events that secured the infamy of the Kray twins.

It sounds pretty darn good to us. With Hardy riveting alone in a car for two hours, he'll be unstoppable doubling up as a couple of charismatic criminals reveling in their celebrity!

When you look like Channing Tatum, women will literally pay you to hump their faces.

Once you start laughing, it's pretty much non-stop from there. Alright, there wasn't a lot of upscale entertainment behind Magic Mike to begin with, but when you start taking it scene by brutal scene, it gets downright ridiculous.

Young stripper who has a drug problem? Check. We can deal with that. Beefy Tarzan stripper. A little difficult to swallow (gulp), but, yeah. OK. Stripper dreaming of starting his own furniture business. Awwwright. Strippers discussing the stock market? Mmmkay. We're getting a little antsy here, folks!

The best news? We're going back for more! Magic Mike XXL opens in theaters extra early for the holiday weekend. Like, tonight in select theaters to keep the horn dogs happy. So, there's that.

Hitman: Agent 47 Trailer - You Won't Know What Hit You

A new TV spot was released for the upcoming Rupert Friend starrer Hitman: Agent 47, but it just didn't feel right for it to be the first trailer we posted on Movie Fanatic when we had longer, more action oriented fare to share.

So here we are. I don't know much about the Hitman games, to be honest, but I know a lot about Rupert Friend's capabilities to kill, thanks to his role as Quinn on Homeland. Dude can definitely take them out with the best of them. Now he gets to do it with a heck of  a lot more panache and with his British accent! Dude!!

How lucky are we? The movie looks like it's going to be a heap of fun and an all around awesome popcorn chomping romp. Co-star Hannah Ware looks like a great match and we'll also be treated to Zachary Quinto and Ciaran Hinds.

Can't lose with this one. It seems to me if you liked Hitman, you're going to love Hitman 47: Agent 47.

I Am Chris Farley Trailer: Honoring a Comedy Giant

$

It's been almost 18 years since Chris Farley died at the age of 33, and we lost a talent far larger than we ever realized at the time.

Now filmmaker Brent Hodge gather Farley's friends and colleagues such as Christina Applegate, Dan Aykroyd, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Molly Shannon, David Spade, friends, family and biographers to discus his greatest characters, skits and performances, as well as share iconic photographs, home movies, family snapshots and personal artifacts, to fully round out the story of this comedy legend – a bear of a man who nevertheless had remarkable grace and physicality.

Clips from Farley's most memorable performances fill the documentary, from his breathtaking Chippendales audition alongside Patrick Swayze, to his comically ill-fated salesman in Tommy Boy, to his diatribes as Matt Foley, the motivational speaker who "lives in a van down by the river!" Farley lived his life full speed and committed to make everyone around him laugh out loud, and I Am Chris Farley will tell his hilarious, touching and wildly entertaining story for the first time ever.

I AM CHRIS FARLEY was executive produced by Paul Gertz (I Am Steve McQueen, I Am Bruce Lee), Kent Wingerak (I Am Steve McQueen, I Am Bruce Lee) and Robert Pirooz (I Am Steve McQueen, I Am Evel Knievel)

It's always difficult to remember someone who was so vivacious and vibrant when they were alive that we lost so early, but also so important to keep them alive in our hearts so their talent will never be forgotten.

I Am Chris Farley opens in theaters in select theaters beginning July 31 and will be available on VOD beginning on August 11.

Creed Official Trailer - Your Legacy is More than a Name

Your legacy is more than a name.

It's finally time to see Adonis Creed in action!

Adonis has been fighting his whole life, but still people don't believe he has what it takes to survive in the ring, not to end up like his father, someone he doesn't even know.

The first trailer reveals great footage of Michael B. Jordan in what is certain to propel him onto the fast track to the A list, where he should have been long before now. We're given a glimpse of  Phylicia Rashad as Mary Anne Creed and Tessa Thompson as Bianca.

The best moment of the trailer comes when Adonis meets Rocky Balboa for the first time and asks him about their private, behind closed doors fight, prompting Rocky to ask how he could possibly know about that. "I'm his son," Adonis replies.

It's such a simple moment, but one that plays really well to transfer the entire franchise over into Jordan's hands.

Take a look now and let us know what you think.

If you want to see how this all began, you can watch Rocky online to see it all go down.

London Has Fallen Teaser Trailer: Yes, Brits, It Can Happen to You!

Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart are back in the London Has Fallen teaser trailer.

Sorry Brits, if you thought you were getting off easy, it looks like nothing is sacred. Sure, you laughed as the White House exploded into flames in Olympus Has Fallen, but now it's your turn!

And other than Butler and Eckhart running about, there isn't much else to go on other than all of the groovy explosions and shots of the streets on London in panic mode.

The first half of the trailer is a rehash of what went down in Washington and news the British Prime Minister is dead. I'm sure the people will not be pleased to learn the American mourners have brought with them the crazy loons who just leveled America!

Of the two "let's attack America via the White House" movies that were circling over the last couple of years, Olympus Has Fallen won handily over White House Down. It was incredibly entertaining, and if the follow-up is anything like the original, then we're in for a jolly good time!

If you missed the first, you can watch Olympus Has Fallen online until London gets its chance to fall, too!
