After successfully showing us his magic in the animated gems Wall-E and Finding Nemo, director Andrew Stanton was ready to tackle his first live action film. Considering that John Carter has been a passion project for him, truly since he was a boy, it made the jump away from animation all that much easier. What he felt in nerves was offset by pure unadulterated excitement.
