Universal is taking us behind-the-scenes of the making of Battleship in a new feature that is fittingly called Rock the Boat. The Peter Berg-directed film lands May 18 and has tantalized us thus far with every successive preview. It’s an interesting video below that shows how many of the film’s most exciting moments at sea are, in fact, filmed on a soundstage. As we know famously from Waterworld and its kin, filming at sea is expensive and difficult.
The cast of the film is top notch and includes John Carter’s Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Rihanna, Peter MacNicol, Alexander Skarsgard and Brooklyn Decker.
