Goon Exclusive: Seann William Scott & Jay Baruchel Bring Hockey Back

There are only a handful of really good hockey movies from the last several decades, which is why Goon starring Jay Baruchel and Seann William Scott (soon to be seen in American Reunion) is such a treat. Sure, we had 2004’s Miracle, but when it comes to stories about the game and the guys who play it… the canvas is pretty bare. The standard for all hockey films was set by 1977’s Slap Shot starring Paul Newman. What Baruchel (who co-wrote the script for Goon) has achieved with his film is a work that is equally part tribute to the sport he loves, heartfelt love story and triumph of the individual who triumphs despite all the odds stacked against him. The duo recently sat down for an exclusive video interview to chat all things Goon.

Look for the film on March 30 in theaters everywhere featuring an astounding supporting performance by Liev Schreiber.
