Christopher Nolan’s final foray into the world of the Caped Crusader has gotten its rating from the MPAA. The Dark Knight Rises will be rated PG-13. The two previous installments in Nolan’s Dark Knight series also earned the same rating. The organization charged with giving films its rating, under fire recently for its decision on Bully, reported that Nolan’s flick was given the PG-13 because of “intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language."
Now, this may seem like pedestrian news, but Movie Fanatic sees one thing with the announcement today: Christian Bale's latest film is completed, rated and ready for its July 20 release. Let the countdown begin!
