Anna Kendrick (What to Expect When You're Expecting) stirs things up as much as you can stir up a University a capella group--by suggesting some hip-hop--in Pitch Perfect, a new musical comedy from Universal. Check out the poster, followed by the first trailer:

The film seems a bit like the Bring it On or Step Up 3D of the glee-club world (check out some Bring it On quotes). Kendrick plays a rebellious girl who joins the group and shakes things up in the middle of a war between a rival group.
Pitch Perfect also stars Skylar Astin, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, and Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids). Elizabeth Banks is producing and has been rumored to have a small role in the film, though she is not listed among the film's cast.
Catch pitch perfect in theaters October 5.
