The long-awaited Big Lebowski sequel seems to finally be happening! According to The Examiner, The Big Lebowski 2 will start filming this October.
The film will once again star Jeff Bridges as The Dude and John Goodman (Monsters University) as Walter, as the two fight to save their bowling alley after it is threatened to be turned into a parking garage by a corrupt landowner played by--brace yourselves--Bill Murray! Indie comedy fans rejoice!
Jesse Eisenberg will join on to play the son of The Dude and Maude (played by Julianne Moore), conceived at the end of the first film. His character is the youngest ever congressman in U.S. History. Moore will also return to the cast, along with Philip Seymour Hoffman (check out The Master trailer for his upcoming film) and John Turturro.
Apparently titled The Big Lebowski 2: The Dude Goes to Washington, the Coen Brothers' revisiting of this classic cult comedy is set to arrive in 2015. So mix your White Russians and polish your balls (bowling balls), check out some Big Lebowski quotes, and get ready for the sequel...in...3 years.
