Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman are in talks to join the mystery-drama Stoker, according to the LA Times. The film will be the English debut for South Korean filmmaker Chan-wook Park.
The film was written by actor Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) and focuses on a girl and her mother who are visited by a strange uncle after the patriarch of the family dies.
Kidman would play the mother to Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) who is already attached to play the lead, India Stoker. Firth would play the uncle.
Both actors have been nominated for best acting Oscars - Kidman for her work in Rabbit Hole and Firth for his role as King George VI in The King's Speech.
Filming for Stoker is scheduled to start in the spring.
