Frankenweenie Exclusive: Nassor, Burgemeister, and Rzykruski Debut

Disney is premiering three new character posters exclusively on Movie Fanatic from Tim Burton's Frankenweenie. The film is based on one of Burton's first short films and follows Frankenstein’s son Victor who is so distraught after his dog Sparky dies, that he re-animates him in a manner that would make papa proud. As seen in the Frankenweenie trailer, this stop motion film is pure Burton brilliance.

Our first photo is of Nassor (voiced by Martin Short) and his ghouly self. Nassor is highly intelligent, serious and intense. He takes a darker, more doomsday view on life than the other kids in New Holland. Nassor is instantly skeptical of the rumors surrounding Victor’s experiments with electricity, but once convinced, he is zealous in his quest to obtain Victor’s secrets.

Next up is Mr. Rzykruski (voiced by Martin Landau), someone who is described as the new science teacher at New Holland Elementary School. He has a thick, Eastern European accent and a unique way of explaining things. He connects with his students; however, parents misunderstand his passionate teaching style.

Finally, Movie Fanatic brings you exclusively the debut of Mayor Burgemeister (also voiced by Short). He is Frankenstein’s next-door neighbor and Mayor of New Holland. A crotchety fuss-bucket, he is fanatical about his garden and can’t stand Sparky or anything else that threatens the perfection of his tulips.
