Cloud Atlas looks to be a pretty epic production. As such, we have to do a pretty epic post about it. Yesterday, we listed it as #2 on our TIFF films to watch list, and now we've got a 6 minute-long preview trailer, along with a director's commentary video, and a whole slew of new stills.

The film is based on a book by David Mitchell, and focuses on numerous intertwining story lines over the span of centuries. There are three--count them, three--directors on the project: Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis, and a gigantic cast that includes Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Keith David, Hugo Weaving (The Hobbit), and Ben Whishaw (Skyfall).
The film hits theaters October 26, after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Before then, have a look at some Cloud Atlas stills (click thumbnails to enlarge):
