Bradley Cooper elevates his game in The Words. The actor portrays Rory Jansen, an author who has struggled for years to find his voice. He has written novels, but none have garnered any interest from the publishing world. When Jansen finds a decades-old manuscript that he cannot put down, he submits it as his own and becomes an international literary sensation.
Movie Fanatic caught up with the superstar and his director (and childhood friend) Brian Klugman for an exclusive video interview where each spoke to which film work in the past they wish was theirs. “I would have done The Godfather right,” Klugman joked.
For Cooper, it was a Peter O’Toole classic. “My Favorite Year, I could drink that cognac better than him,” he said and laughed.
As seen in The Words trailer, the film possesses a stellar cast including Zoe Saldana, who plays Cooper’s wife, Dennis Quaid as a fellow author and Jeremy Irons as a mystery man who shows up and challenges Jansen who now has blockbuster success with The Words that are clearly not his own.
