The Ring arrived in 2002 and the remake of the Japanese horror classic Ringu became an instant hit. The film stars Naomi Watts as the mother of a teenage girl whose friend dies mysteriously after witnessing a videotape that contains horrible images. It seems that when someone watches the tape, they get a call from a mysterious girl who tells them they have seven days to live.
