J. Edgar, one of the most anticipated movies of the fall, has finally given us a look at more than just stills as the film’s trailer has premiered.
J. Edgar is from director Clint Eastwood and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the notorious leader of the FBI. J. Edgar Hoover ruled the agency with an iron fist for more years than any other FBI head in history. His tenure was marked with controversy, both in the office and in the personal life of the man that many feared, but few knew.
Eastwood and DiCaprio are looking to change that fact as the filmmaking team lifts the veil to the man that kept secret files on some of the world’s most famous people including John Lennon. DiCaprio is a perfect choice to play Hoover and with Eastwood directing, Oscar buzz has already started, even with only two minutes of a trailer giving audiences any clue as to what we can expect from J. Edgar.
