Seriously, The Hobbit makes the movie industry seem like a hopelessly clunky, barely functioning tugboat with a hole in the bottom where more man-hours just keep flooding into the hull. Yet somehow, we'll still get to see An Unexpected Journey on its premiere date. Pretty crazy.

Martin Freeman stars as Bilbo Baggins in the adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel. Ian McKellen reprises his Lord of the Rings role as Gandalf the Grey, with Richard Armitage, Ian Holm, Andy Serkis, Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness), Hugo Weaving (Cloud Atlas), Cate Blanchett, and Elijah Wood also star.
