Since it was announced that Sam Mendes won't direct the next James Bond movie, rumors have swirled as to who will fill the director's chair. As we stated in our Skyfall review, Mendes did about as fantastic a job as one can do. He brought an Oscar-winning power to the franchise and the result was the most successful 007 movie of all-time.
Given the success of Skyfall, including its first Oscar victory for Best Song, the producers behind the series could have their pick of the director litter if they so choose. Personally, Movie Fanatic would love to see Danny Boyle tackle it. After working closely with the producing family who has been behind all 23 Bond movies for the opening sequence to the Olympics, we think he's a perfect fit -- not to mention his natural talent for the job.
