Planes, the spin-off of the Disney animated feature Cars, was originally slated for straight-to-DVD release.
But now the film has been reinvigorated, with Dane Cook joining on as the voice of the lead character, and the film getting a full theatrical release. Check out a new sneak peek of Planes below:
Cook voices Dusty Crophopper, a small cropduster whose big dream is to participate in a race around the world. In order to do so, he must overcome his debilitating fear of heights.
The voice cast also features Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone), Teri Hatcher, Cedric the Entertainer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese (The Croods), Val Kilmer (Top Gun), and Carlos Alazraqi.
Planes will premiere August 9.
