As teased in the Arthur Newman trailer, the film follows Firth as he changes his identity to the titular character, in order to get away from a life he despises. His marriage is history and his son hardly has any interest in seeing him. He is in a relationship with a girlfriend (Anne Heche) that doesn’t stimulate him… so what’s a guy to do?
He hits the road in a new car, with a new identity and a new friend (Blunt). Surprising adventures ensue, before the powerful lessons of the film make their strong presence known.
