There are no casting blanks to fill in anymore when it comes to Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige met the press at Comic-Con with his full cast in tow and the biggest news is that Benicio del Toro is in fact joining the cast (officially) as The Collector. Previously it had only been rumored that Benicio del Toro would join Guardians of the Galaxy.
Movie Fanatic got our hands on not only the film’s official logo and release date (August 1, 2014), but also some conceptual art from the film. So, who else did we meet?
We all knew that Chris Pratt had been cast as Star-Lord (and Peter Quill), Zoe Saldana is Gamora, Dave Bautista is Drax the Destroyer and John C. Reilly is Rhomann Dey.
But, what had yet to be confirmed was the casting of Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead) as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula and Lee Pace is Ronan The Accuser.
Movie Fanatic talked to the cast and director James Gunn, more from that is coming very soon.
