What can we say about the latest trailer from Carrie? Let’s just start by talking about that slowed-down version of The Shirelles’ Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow that plays during the final terrifying moments of the teaser. That could not be more perfect. And the casting of both Chloe Grace Moretz as the title character and Julianne Moore as her mother is astounding.
Moretz is coming off her turn in Kick-Ass 2 and further proving that this young actress is a force to be reckoned with for decades to come. And Moore, well… she’s always awesome.
The film is based on the iconic first novel by Stephen King, that was initially brought to the screen in 1976 starring Sissy Spacek. Sure, much has changed -- as seen in the first Carrie trailer. But, we noticed in this latest trailer a few iconic moments remain: The girls' shower scene and the prom scene.
After all, it’s not Carrie if it doesn’t have those two! Carrie and all her horrors lands in theaters in time to terrify us for Halloween, October 18.
