This weekend at the Cineplex, Clint Eastwood rolls out his biopic J. Edgar, Tarsem Singh releases The Immortals, Adam Sandler scores Al Pacino to star in Jack and Jill, while 11-11-11 seeks to scare.

J. Edgar: Leonardo DiCaprio stars as J. Edgar Hoover in the biopic directed by Clint Eastwood. Eastwood and DiCaprio make a mighty good pair in director-actor and it is clear these two saw this film as a passion project. J. Edgar follows the life of the man who ruled over the FBI longer than anyone in history. Known for stirring controversy, all in the name of freedom, Eastwood paints a picture with his film that produces a complicated portrait of a man who at his soul was merely a mama’s boy. Don’t miss our J. Edgar review.

The Immortals: The sword and sandals epic takes literary license with Greek mythology and produces a visual masterpiece. Director Tarsem Singh is at the top of his game in helming The Immortals and gives audiences a thrill ride that stars Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, Freida Pinto and Isabel Lucas. Check out our The Immortals review.

Jack and Jill: Adam Sandler plays both Jack and Jill and if you think witnessing Sandler in drag is funny, you will love his latest comedy. Sandler’s greatest coup in Jack and Jill is scoring Al Pacino who plays a major role in the story as he plays himself, a man obsessed with Jill. Our Jack and Jill review gives you our two cents on the latest from Happy Madison.

11-11-11: A man travels to Spain after the death of his wife and child in this horror flick that asks the question of what would happen if the world came dangerously close to its end on the titular date. We want to know: Are you afraid of 11-11-11?
