In The Lucky One, Zac Efron is joining an esteemed list of actors who have portrayed the male leads in movies based on Nicholas Sparks' books including Richard Gere and Ryan Gosling. Those actors have all taken the romantic lead in the romance writer’s page-to-screen efforts (don't miss the trailer for his latest, The Vow). Warner Bros. has released a new feature for The Lucky One that shows scenes from the new film, as well as Efron and Sparks talking about the filmmaking experience.
As seen in the feature, Efron is a soldier who finds a photo in the midst of a war zone. It is a find that will save his life. He then becomes determined to find the woman (Taylor Schilling) who is responsible for the photo and let her know how her and his fate are now forever intertwined.
The Lucky One arrives in theaters April 20, 2012.
