Four new character banners have premiered for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island featuring Dwayne Johnson and The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson. The latter is returning to his role from the original film, Journey to the Center of the Earth -- starring Brendan Fraser.
Fresh off the international trailer for Journey 2, the character banners give audiences further insight into what to expect from the sequel. Needless to say, this island is as add as that one on Lost!
When Hutcherson’s Sean receives a coded message from the titular mysterious island, he believes it is a lost family member and nothing can stop him from going. Johnson plays his stepfather and joins him on the adventure where they are aided by a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his daughter (Vanessa Hudgens, below), who could very well be Hutcherson’s love interest.
Michael Caine also stars, and don’t you love his stuck-in-the-jungle beard in the character banner below?
