The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has its trailer premiering December 21 before showings of The Adventures of Tintin. To fan that fire of expectations, Warner Bros. has released a new still from Peter Jackson’s latest foray into Middle Earth. It features Martin Freeman in the role of a lifetime as Bilbo.

The Hobbit is the prequel to Lord of the Rings and follows Hobbit patriarch Bilbo as he joins the effort to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor. On that quest he meets Gandalf and another soul who will lurk during the entire series, Gollum. Oh… and he comes in possession of a certain ring.
