Fresh on the tail of The Hobbit trailer, Warner Bros. has given Movie Fanatic seven new character pictures. The Hobbit doesn’t arrive until late in 2012 and for those of you who have read the J.R.R. Tolkien book, the fact that we’re getting a glimpse at the dwarf warriors central to the story is hardly a surprise.
Peter Jackson is back at the helm of The Lord of the Rings prequel, and as he shared with us in his most recent Hobbit production video, work is still to be done.
The Hobbit’s first installment, An Unexpected Journey, is written by Jackson, his long time partner Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens and legend Guillermo del Toro.
Is it us or do these warriors look especially fierce?
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey also marks the return of Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving and Andy Serkis.
The story follows titular character Bilbo Baggins. His Hobbit is pulled into an epic quest whose effects were felt throughout The Lord of the Rings series.
Our heroes will once again battle Orcs and Goblins, but also Wargs, Shapeshifters and evil Sorcerers.
