Marvel’s smallest hero stands tall in the latest poster for Ant-Man. And what sets this particular one-sheet apart is that it features the entire cast for the superhero movie that hits theaters July 17.

Hot on the heels of Marvel’s latest number one movie (Avengers: Age of Ultron), the superhero studio is already looking to their next film, which they hope will be their twelfth number one movie in a row.

Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) may tower above all in the awesome new poster, but the supporting cast is fully represented, including Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena and Bobby Cavanale.

The latest Ant-Man trailer has us eagerly anticipating the flick, as it appears to have a lot more humor than the rest of the Marvel movies. You don’t cast Rudd and not get laughs. But, it also has laughs in the form of the screenplay co-written by Adam McKay (Anchorman) and Rudd.

That is exactly what it is for Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez, Gabriel Iglesias and the boys. Showtime has returned as the sequel to Magic Mike comes storming into theaters July 1 as one of the most anticipated movies of the summer.

Did we mention a new cast poster arrived today too? Check it out in the slideshow below. You’re welcome.

This time out, Matthew McConaughey may be gone, but they have amped up the stakes as the gang is heading out on the road to a convention that will decide who is the best male stripper group of them all.

Along the way, they will make stops on the road to tune up their act and try some new moves and there’s a whole new group of ladies eager to see what they can do. Look for Amber Heard, Elizabeth Banks and Andie MacDowell who have joined the cast.

Hot Pursuit: Sofia Vergara on Striking “Fear” in Reese Witherspoon!

As someone whose strong accent can be used for laughs, Sofia Vergara found great joy working with Reese Witherspoon on the set of their new action comedy Hot Pursuit. “Well, her Spanish is not very good. It’s obviously not her best work,” Vergara told Movie Fanatic and laughed. There’s a scene in the film where co-star Reese Witherspoon’s character reveals she knows Spanish and can understand Vergara, even if her linguistics are not top notch.

Sofia Vergara Reese Witherspoon Hot Pursuit

“That was one of my favorite scenes because she had to struggle a lot. I could see fear in her eyes. I could see anxiety and confusion. It was great because that’s how I feel in every single scene of my life! I’ll be looking for words and people will be making faces, even though they don’t want to. So, I really enjoyed it. I tried not to help her that much because it was a personal thing that I was experiencing. Now that I’ve seen the whole movie, I understand why people laugh so much at me. It’s hysterical to see somebody trying to talk in another language and looking confused!”

As teased in the Hot Pursuit trailer, Vergara is a drug lord’s trophy wife who is reluctantly set to be transported from San Antonio to Dallas to testify (with her husband) against the top dog in the cartel. Witherspoon’s San Antonio cop is her escort and when they get ambushed at Vergara’s house, it sends the mismatched pair on the road trying to get to Dallas and stay alive.

Vergara (recently seen in Chef) was jealous of Witherspoon on one hand. While the Modern Family star had to wear enormous heels and high end dresses, the Oscar winner for Walk the Line had to wear a cop uniform and comfortable shoes.

“I was miserable all the time, compressed like a sausage in that white dress, sweating, and then those high heels -- and the blisters,” Vergara said. “She was all carefree and sitting on the floor. And she wouldn’t even change for lunch. It was like the dirtier she looked -- the better. She knew what she was doing!”

The two actresses bonded immediately and found that even though their characters are polar opposites, in real life the pair shared great affinity for many things. “People think we’re so different and then we sit down and we like the same food. We like makeup. We like having the family around. We like the same places to travel. We had kids young. We have a lot of similarities,” Vergara reported.

Vergara also found that what sets Hot Pursuit apart is that it’s not two women fighting over a guy, or even fussing about a love interest. It’s about two strong women finding their way under extreme circumstances. “This is a movie with two different women who have two different personalities and they’re trying to achieve the same thing and trying to survive. I think a lot of girls can look at this and learn many things from the relationship. You don’t have to look the same or be the same to understand another human being and support each other.”

If Vergara seems completely at ease with all her success, it is because she is. The Latin superstar is also a producer on Hot Pursuit and she admitted that she did not become the highest paid actress on television overnight.

Sofia Vergara Hot Pursuit

“I’ve been working in the entertainment business for 25 years. Not at this level, of course, since I got lucky with Modern Family. But I try to make my work part of my real life,” she said.

“I’ve been working for 70 percent of my life. I try to enjoy it. To make it real, [I] bring my friends and my family to enjoy everything with me. Life goes fast so you can’t take just work very seriously. So hopefully I haven’t changed.”

Beyond the fact that Vergara hopes that Hot Pursuit is a success and that it leads to other female-led films featuring strong characters, she is delighted that it features two people from different cultures working together and not painted as adversaries.

“It would never have occurred to me that I was going to be able to do a movie with somebody like [Reese]. It’s such a big help to the Latin actors and actresses. Hopefully, this movie will do good and more studios and producers will think of adding us into movies and television shows,” Vergara said.

“I can’t complain because I’ve had such good luck getting jobs, like Modern Family. That has opened all the doors for me. But, we still need more. We need more places where somebody Latin can do their thing. And people like Reese are helping.”

Taken 3 DVD Review: Liam Neeson Opens Up The Whoop Ass!

We may be biased, but we could watch Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills all day long. Now that Taken 3 is out on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download, we may do just that. Mills and his “particular set of skills” are put to the test in this third installment of the franchise that started with the surprise hit Taken.

Taken 3 DVD

This time out, he’s going to need every single one of those skills as it is his own hide on the line as Mills has become one of the most wanted men in Los Angeles. His wife (Famke Janssen) has been murdered and everyone in law enforcement believes that Mills did it. We know, of course, that he hasn’t. But, he must go on the run and simultaneously get to the bottom of this mystery to clear his name and keep his daughter (Maggie Grace) safe from suffering the same fate as his wife.

Hot on his trail are not only the real murderers who wouldn’t mind him dead as well, but an LA detective who is determined to bring him in. Forest Whitaker is impeccably cast as the cop -- the other end of this cat and mouse mystery. As the film progresses, we find Whitaker discovering that all is not what it seems. And as we hear in many of those Taken 3 quotes, he knows he can be outsmarted and outgunned by Mills, so he has to play his moves carefully.

As our theatrical Taken 3 review stated, it’s not the best Taken movie. The first one has that honor. But it is a much better pot boiler than Taken 2. And although it may seem that this should and could be the final Taken for Neeson, we actually hope it is not. Like we stated earlier, there is something about Neeson and this character that we could watch him do what he does over and over, and now that Taken 3 is on home video, we may just do that!

When it comes to Taken 3 bonus features, we have to recommend the unrated cut of the film. That way you can see the cut that director Olivier Megaton meant the world to see!

We also have to salute the documentary short, A Taken Legacy. As a fan of the entire series, it’s fascinating to get a look back at how it all started and where we’ve gone since and, frankly, how the whole thing became the sensation that it is.

One of our favorite scenes in Taken 3 gets explored further in the bonus feature Sam’s Bunker AKA The Rabbit Hole. No spoilers here, but let’s just say you want to go down this rabbit hole!

Watch Taken 3 online and prepare for Neeson to get back into action!

Poltergeist Clip: They’re Coming!

The Poltergeist remake is ready to spook a whole new generation when it lands in theaters May 22. This Movie Fanatic has fond memories of seeing the original Steven Spielberg film and being so scared that we needed to step out into the theater lobby just to catch our breath.

One of the most horrifying lines in the entire film was when little Carol Anne looked at the pixelated television screen and said, “They’re heeeeere!” Cue goosebumps and a few internal screams.

Fox and MGM have released a clip from their upcoming remake, and for starters, the little girl’s name has been changed to Mattie and you’ll notice that what she says after touching the TV screen is slightly different as well.

Yup, “They’re here” is now “They’re coming!” We have to say, nicely done. And when we see it in the context of the entire movie, we suspect those goosebumps will return.

As you can see in the Poltergeist trailer, Rosemarie DeWitt and Sam Rockwell star as parents to a couple of young kids and it seems they have chosen the wrong house to move into -- it’s haunted and things will never be the same.

The pedigree on Poltergeist, circa 2015, is pretty darn special, with Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan serving as the behind-the-scenes talent. Joining Rockwell and DeWitt in the cast is Jared Harris and Jane Adams.

Mad Max Fury Road Behind the Scenes: Meet Max!

Anticipation has never been higher as we are only a week away from the arrival of George Miler’s Mad Max: Fury Road.

We have seen it and it has never pained us more to not be able to talk about it until that pesky embargo is lifted. But, we could not be happier to bring you something to tide you over until the rest of the world can see Miller’s next Max masterpiece.

Warner Bros. has released a fantastic behind-the-scenes featurette that introduces us to Mad Max, circa 2015. Tom Hardy is Max and this adventure has all the makings to be the best Mad Max ever, and that much can be gleaned from this short featurette.

Miller is back as writer and director for his fourth Mad Max film after the three installments from the '80s -- Mad Max, Road Warrior and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

There will never be a Mad Max quite like the original star, Mel Gibson, but as you can see even from the above clips, Hardy is a fantastic choice to step into those iconic boots. He has crafted a Mad Max for today, and we hope one that goes deeper into the future.

Mad Max: Fury Road lands May 15 and also stars Charlize Theron, Zoe Kravitz, Nicholas Hoult and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Clearly, it is one of the most anticipated movies of summer 2015.

Sony has premiered the first trailer for the latest movie to star one of our national treasures, Meryl Streep. The multiple Oscar winner and record holder for most Academy Award nominations in history returns in a role that has her stretching the boundaries of what we’ve seen her do.

Streep stars as the title character in Ricki and the Flash. The story centers on Streep’s rocker, who is a successful musician that leads the titular band. She’s been on the road performing most of her life and we get the impression she has not been the best mother. But, when she gets a call from her husband (Kevin Kline) that her daughter’s (Streep’s real-life daughter Mamie Gummer) husband has left her, Ricki heads home to help heal.

But, things won’t be that easy. Ricki has a lot of making up to do with all her kids.

Ricki and the Flash is directed by Oscar winner Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs) and is written by another Oscar winner in Diablo Cody (Juno).

Look for Ricki and the Flash on August 7.

The Russo brothers are back to direct the sequel to their Captain America: The Winter Soldier and we can now reveal that the cast will be Chris Evans as Cap, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.

And one of our favorite actors working today, Daniel Bruhl, will be our villain.

One thing notably absent, and we can see why, is the webbed wonder. Remember, Marvel said Spider-Man will be in Captain America: Civil War?! That announcement will likely come when they actually reveal who has been cast as Spider-Man.

Here’s the Captain America: Civil War synopsis:

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Johnny Depp returns to comedy in Mortdecai and if you missed his portrayal of an international art dealer who must track down a priceless painting before it winds up in the wrong hands and threatens the world’s security, you’re in luck. Mortdecai is landing on DVD and Blu-Ray May 12 and Movie Fanatic has an exclusive clip from the home video release.

Our exclusive clip is one of the two bonus features on the Mortdecai Blu-Ray and DVD and you can only see it here!

Check out the spot as composer Geoff Zanelli talks about working with hit-maker Mark Ronson (Uptown Funk) to create the varied mix of musical landscapes for the crime caper comedy that also stars Ewan McGregor, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paul Bettany, Olivia Munn and Jeff Goldblum.

The film finds Depp getting swept into an international affair where a stolen painting must be found before it falls into the wrong hands and funnels mounds of money into terrorists' accounts.

Mortdecai is based on the book Don’t Point That Thing at Me from The Mortdecai Trilogy by Kyril Bonfiglioli and we hope we get another madcap chapter of Depp (soon to be seen in Black Mass) as the titular character traversing the globe as an international man of mystery!

Hot Pursuit: Reese Witherspoon Talks Playing “Annoying” For Laughs

$

Reese Witherspoon did not set out to make a feminist film with Hot Pursuit. She just wanted to produce and star in a movie that showed women doing more than what Hollywood usually has them doing.

Reese Witherspoon Hot Pursuit

“We had the idea to make a movie that wasn’t just about romantic involvement, and that wasn’t about men and chasing men. As soon as you strip that element away, you actually get to dig deeper into the female characters,” Witherspoon told Movie Fanatic.

As the Hot Pursuit trailer teases, Witherspoon is Officer Cooper, a San Antonio police officer who has followed in her esteemed father’s footsteps and joined the force. After a headline-grabbing mishap, she has been reduced to working the evidence room for three years. The chance of a lifetime arrives when she’s asked to accompany a U.S. Marshal to pick up a drug cartel member and his wife (Sofia Vergara) and escort them to Dallas to testify against the drug kingpin.

When they get ambushed, Vergara and Witherspoon are on their own and the two mismatched characters hit the road, trying to survive, and find that they have more in common than not.

From Election to Legally Blonde and beyond, Witherspoon has a knack for playing Type-A characters that are also quite hilarious. “I guess I just have it in me. I don’t know. People just like it and think it’s funny, and I just enhance it and make it even bigger and more annoying. People really seem to enjoy laughing at me. I also like to find the heart of a person like that,” Witherspoon said.

Witherspoon just loved the idea of Officer Cooper, and how she relates to Vergara on screen. “She’s a little nerd. She has no female friends. She has no friends! She’s kind of a wreck. So, when she meets Sofia’s character, she’s like, ‘That’s my first friend!’”

Reese Witherspoon Sofia Vergara Hot Pursuit Still

The Oscar winner for Walk the Line is a huge fan of Modern Family and her husband Jim Toth is Vergara’s agent. It occurred to Witherspoon that the two should pair up and the genesis of Hot Pursuit began. “It would be really funny to make a buddy movie with her. So, I set up a meeting and we sat in a hotel lobby. She walked in and literally every man stopped what he was doing and stared at her, the entire time. When she walked through the lobby, it was like being in a hair care commercial,” Witherspoon said and laughed.

“She sat down and was just as lovely and charming as I thought she would be, thank goodness. We just started talking about movies, and this was the one we both decided would be the funniest idea.”

The superstar was also motivated to get Hot Pursuit off the ground because she felt it was about time to have a Latino character in the lead, after years of headlines reporting that that populus was the future of Hollywood.

“I was looking around, about two or three years ago, and reading all these articles in the L.A. Times and The Hollywood Reporter about Latin audiences showing up [for films]. They are 35 to 55 percent of the audience! So, I looked at movies and thought, ‘Where are the Latin actors? Also, where are movies that are reflective of our culture, where some people speak Spanish and some speak English?’” Witherspoon said.

“That’s the kind of life that everybody is living, every day, but we’re not seeing it reflected on screen. We cross our fingers for the success of a film like this -- to showcase what real life looks like.”

The gang from Hotel Transylvania is back, as teased in the hilarious Hotel Transylvania 2 teaser trailer. The entire monster crew gets the spotlight in the first poster from the sequel from Sony Pictures Animation and director Genndy Tartakovsky.

Adam Sandler’s Dracula is quite pleased with his life right now. His Hotel Transylvania is doing quite well, even with its new policy that allows monsters and humans to share the fun of the palatial establishment.

But, something is a little off. His half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, is not giving grandpa any signs that that vampire side of him has any intention of showing itself. What’s a vampire/grandpa to do?

To his dismay, a guest arrives in the form of his own father, Mel Brooks! Perhaps together they can help Dennis find his inner vampire so he can be more like mom (Selena Gomez) and less like dad (Andy Samberg).

Kevin James, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi and David Spade are all back reprising their roles in the film that gave us those unforgettable Hotel Transylvania quotes.

Hot Pursuit Review: Reese Witherspoon & Sofia Vergara Hit the Road

$

Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara are a fantastic team in Hot Pursuit. Director Anne Fletcher (The Proposal, The Guilt Trip) is a fantastically talented comedic director. So, why doesn’t Hot Pursuit hit the highway with laughs, heart and fall-out-of-your-seat hilarity?

Hot Pursuit Reese Witherspoon Sofia Vergara Still Photo

Perhaps it is that the script by David Feeney and John Quaintance simply fails them. It is not funny. The one joke that works, about Witherspoon’s ever decreasing height and Vergara’s ever increasing age, you’ve seen over and over in that Hot Pursuit trailer.

Witherspoon is San Antonio police officer Cooper. In a cute opening sequence we learn that she grew up in the back of her legendary father’s police cruiser. She was born to be a cop. Yet, as an adult she makes one small mistake and it has her languishing in the evidence room riding a desk. Opportunity arises when the U.S. Marshal arrives and needs a female officer to serve as the liaison for the wife (Vergara’s Daniella Riva) of a drug cartel member who is going to testify in Dallas against the kingpin.

When they’re ambushed and Riva’s husband is killed and the marshal shot, it’s up to Officer Cooper to get Riva out of the house and on the road to Dallas by herself.

They are mismatched. They are under fire and on a timetable to get to the Big D.

On paper, this should work. It’s an interesting enough story with humor and heartwarming potential lurking around every corner. But, we know immediately when Witherspoon mistakenly leaves their escape vehicle (Riva’s car) where it can be hit by a truck and cocaine goes flying in the air and the duo ingest quite a lot, that this film is going for easy and been-there-done-that laughs rather than anything that is remotely original and envelope-pushing.

Reese Witherspoon Sofia Vergara Hot Pursuit Photo

Don’t get us started on the predictable back and forth that ensues when the pair (wired, of course) walk away from the crash and head into a honky tonk general store to find new clothes because for some reason they are now considered suspects and the most wanted pair in Texas. Yup, both the cops and the drug lords want them!

Hot Pursuit is a sad waste of potential talent and chemistry between its leads. We hope that Witherspoon and Vergara get to do a buddy comedy or some sort of film again because they truly try their absolute best to make this work. But, we’re reminded of a certain joke about lipstick on a pig and it still being a pig. The pair have chemistry, there is no question, but unfortunately have nothing to work with.

What is nice is that the pair buck trends and don’t spend time ad nauseum talking about guys or needing men in their lives. These are two independent women finding themselves in a perilous situation who must rely on each other to survive -- our Hot Pursuit review can report -- and that, at least, is this film’s saving grace.

Jurassic World Extended Trailer: We’re Safe Here, Right?

An extended trailer has landed online for Jurassic World and it takes us behind the thinking of Bryce Dallas Howard’s scientist character and why she and her fellow scientists (including Jurassic Park’s BD Wong!) would create a dinosaur that is “designed to be bigger than the T. Rex.”

We still think that Chris Pratt’s line in response to that statement (“probably not a good idea”) will go down in history as one of the best Jurassic Park franchise quotes of all time!

Jurassic World’s release date is merely weeks away -- June 12 -- and it is just one of the reasons we think that summer 2015 will be the best ever.

Jurassic World also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Judy Greer, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan and Katie McGrath.

Before checking out Jurassic World in 3D, 2D and IMAX in June, watch Jurassic Park online and see how it all got started.

The Hateful Eight: Meet Quentin Tarantino’s Cast of Characters

We’ve seen The Hateful Eight behind-the-scenes pictures, but today we have a true treat for Quentin Tarantino fans -- the first photos from the writer-director’s next Western. And to think it almost wasn’t.

After the script was leaked for The Hateful Eight, Tarantino decided to scrap the project. But, we are so thrilled that he changed his mind and decided that this film will be the follow-up to Django Unchained.

The cast is impressive and the story fits the ensemble like a glove. As you see in the first still below of the cast (which debuted in Entertainment Weekly), Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Madsen, Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir and Bruce Dern are more than ready to get their Western on!

The story follows this Hateful Eight whose paths collide years after the Civil War when a Wyoming blizzard forces all of our characters to seek refuge in an establishment called Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach rest stop, if you will. Think they’ll all get along?

Look for The Hateful Eight sometime before the end of 2015. Until then, check out QT's latest and watch Django Unchained online.
