They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, then what is parody? For one thing, it says you have made it into the highest lexicons of popular culture! The Hunger Games and Lana Del Ray are the subject of a new music video from Second City’s Holly Laurent that simultaneously pokes fun at the Suzanne Collins first film foray and Lana Del Ray’s hit song Video Games. For fans of the book series, the lyrics are pretty clever. We particularly like the line that states, “This District smells like rat piss/My name is Katniss.” Oh, and this line kills us: "I don't want Peeta to be dead. A pita is a pouch of bread. But that's his name."
