Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter released new photos yesterday, and today… we have six more! The film is generating quite the buzz from history and vampire fans… quite a combination. But, it is hardly a surprise given the wildly successful book of the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith that the film is based upon. The film’s star Benjamin Walker is featured in these pics as a younger Lincoln, long before he became one of our greatest presidents.
Walker’s Lincoln is in quite the battle with the vampire Vodoma (Erin Wasson) in many of these stills. Something tells us she will be his most formidable enemy throughout the film.
The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) and features an all-star cast including Anthony Mackie (who told us about the film in our exclusive interview), Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rufus Sewell and Dominic Cooper.
Bekmambetov’s flick lands in theaters June 22, right in the midst of the madness that is summer movie season. The story of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter follows the future prez from the beginning of his life when his mother was killed by a fanged menace. Abe then spends his life on a mission to eradicate the world of the killers.
Finally, we feature Walker as he is looking quite the president we remember. Well, except for the axe!
