Following a week of craziness that saw an affair with Rupert Sanders ruin her relationship with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart has been added to the cast of Lie Down in Darkness.
The adaptation of the 1951 novel by William Styron tells the story of the dysfunctional Loftis family through a series of flashbacks on the day of the daughter Peyton's funeral. Stewart will play Peyton, while no other cast members have been announced.

The film will be directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart). There is not yet any production schedule or release date.
Stewart can be seen later this year in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 alongside her ex, Pattinson.
