Bryan Cranston dives into his roles, regardless of whether he’s playing a meth creator in his Emmy-winning Breaking Bad or Cohaagen, the leader of what’s left of the world in director Len Wiseman’s Total Recall.
Cranston tells Movie Fanatic, in our exclusive video interview, what it was about Cohaagen that he most wanted to tackle this guy and why he wanted to be a part of the remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger 1990 classic. “The best part of playing him was the position that he was exulted to,” Cranston said.
“That sense of the emperor and everyone kowtowing to my whim… and holding court. In the scenes, I run the show. I scold some people and I kill others! It’s nice to have the power.”
As we state in our Total Recall review, this is one remake that gets it right and much of the props deserve to be laid at Cranston’s feet.
