After the wild success of Skyfall, Sam Mendes is a hot commodity, especially when it comes to the James Bond franchise.
So when Mendes said that he wasn't sure if he would return to direct the next Bond, it caused a bit of worry amongst fans and studio heads alike. Mendes was initially reluctant to commit because writer John Logan was considering writing a two-part film that would need to be shot simultaneously, which would take four years to complete.
Now, it looks as though that plan has been scrapped, causing Mendes to rethink his position. Sources told Daily Mail that the director is "75%" committed to returning.
