Disney's spin-off of Cars was originally set for a straight-to-DVD release, but they have since decided to air Planes in theaters. Check out the first trailer for the upcoming computer-animated movie:
The movie follows a single-propeller crop-duster named Dusty who dreams of competing in an across-the-world air race. The only problem? He's afraid of heights. The underdog plot seems very similar to DreamWorks' Turbo.
Jon Cryer, Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone), and Carlos Alazraqui lend their voices, with Klay Hall directing.
Planes will hit theaters August 9.
