The new trailer for Elysium has dropped, and it's the most plot-heavy one yet, giving us a glimpse into why exactly Matt Damon needs to go to Elysium (the suit still seems pretty wacky though). Check it out:
In the future, the Earth has been decimated by war and poverty, and the wealthy have fled to a man-made oasis called Elysium. Damon stars as Max De Costa, a man on Earth who needs to get to Elysium to save his own life, and humanity.
Jodie Foster also stars, with Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura, Alice Braga, William Fichtner (The Lone Ranger), Diego Luna, and Faran Tahir (Iron Man) rounding out the cast.
Neill Bomkamp directs the script, which he also wrote. The film premieres August 9.
