Star Wars Episode VII: Will Darth Vader Appear?!

Star Wars rumors come and Star Wars rumors go, but we’ve got one that has got some serious meat on its bones. Star Wars Episode VII is currently back in production, judging by this Mark Hamill photo in full Jedi beard mode. And we’ve heard rumblings as to who the villains could be (Adam Driver, perhaps?).

Star Wars Episode VII Logo

Do not read ahead if you do not want any spoilers, because if these are true, they are huge!

We’ve heard that our story will kick off with a couple of folks (John Boyega and Daisy Ridley) finding Luke Skywalker’s hand and setting off on a journey that will have them finding Han Solo, Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon (and we’re guessing Oscar Isaac’s character as the Falcon has been passed on to him), all while trying to find the Jedi master.

On that front, Luke has been living a quiet and solitary life (like a certain mentor of his) and he is obsessed with tracking down and killing the Jedi killers known as the Inquisitors. Who are the Inquisitors? Why they are the villains in the upcoming Star Wars: Rebels TV series… makes sense with that whole synergy thing and all!

We’ve heard there will be a flashback that will show how the Inquisitors worked with a certain baddie, known as Darth Vader! Yes, folks, we believe this one… James Earl Jones, better get that voice warmed up!

We’re also getting word that those new Stormtrooper helmets we ran photos of last week, well, they’re going to get a big introduction on a snow planet where these Inquisitors will be building a major weapon in hopes of bringing a darkness to the universe once again.

A return of Darth Vader? Luke Skywalker’s hand? Isaac with Ford on the Falcon? Yes, yes, and yes, please!

We’ll all find out how it all plays out when Star Wars: Episode VII lands in theaters December 18, 2015.

Han Solo Must Have a Huge Part
We've heard that Harrison Ford's Han Solo has an enormous part in the seventh Star Wars movie. Ford would not have signed on to J.J. Abrams' film if that was not the case.

Mockingjay Part 1 Photo: First Look at Katniss!

Lionsgate has given us those fantastic District 13 character posters, and you’ll notice one of the rebels was missing: Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).

Well, as those of you who know the story are aware, how Katniss fits into the brewing revolution against President Snow is not a given at the beginning of Mockingjay.

Now, we’ve got our first true look at Katniss in a photo released from Mockingjay Part 1 and it features her with something quite familiar on her back -- her quill!

The image appeared in the most recent edition of Entertainment Weekly and director Francis Lawrence addressed the first of the two-part concluding chapters of the Suzanne Collins book brought to life. There are a few changes, but Lawrence promises they will be minor.

“Instead of changing the plot and changing characters, what we did was have the opportunity to show scenes that could have been happening at different times in the book. For us it’s world expansion instead of changing things,” he said. “I think it’s exciting for the fan, to see certain things. So we’ve been able to open the world up in this and see some new places. We get to see some new districts this time and the scope gets quite large.”

As fans know, a revolution is about to boil over, led by President Coin (Julianne Moore) and her District 13 cohorts. Lawrence also promises some battle scenes like you’ve never seen before in The Hunger Games movies.

“There’s definitely some battles. There’s some of the first glimpses of real war in this movie. And the scale gets quite big,” Lawrence admitted. He also said that audiences will notice a slight shift as well in tone. “They’re still very emotional, very sweeping -- grand scale with some levity and humor.”

Look for Mockingjay Part 1 on November 21, and until then, catch the last chapter and watch Catching Fire online.

Sin City A Dame to Kill For: Josh Brolin On “Beautiful” Frank Miller World

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For was a unique type of effort for star Josh Brolin. As seen on his Sin City: A Dame to Kill For character poster, one of his lines is “Never let the monster out.”

Josh Brolin Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

“As an actor doing it for 30 years, every movie you’re trying to figure out a way to make it more naturalistic and more organic to humanity,” Brolin told Movie Fanatic.

“You have lines like, ‘Never let the monster out,’ and stuff like that, and it’s hard. You have to find a cadence. The cadence doesn’t come to you. It’s the kind of movie where you have to dive into. You can’t really manipulate the movie. You can’t manipulate Frank Miller’s mind."

As teased in the Sin City: A Dame to Kill For trailer, Brolin is our male lead and he is under the sensual influence of the title lady, played by Eva Green. A whole lot happens to our anti-hero, and the chance to not only inhabit a Miller graphic novel on the big screen (what are the 17 best graphic novel made movies?), but also to explore the creative genius mind of director Robert Rodriguez had Brolin thanking his lucky stars.

“It’s one of those things that I would go and see a few times if I weren’t in it. Because I’m in it, it would seem pretentious, so I don’t,” Brolin said and laughed.

“The opportunity to be able to do [the movie] was really unnerving. But when I watched it, it was one of the few movies that I have done that I thought, ‘Thank God I’m in this movie.’ I really feel proud to be in this movie. I think it’s just next level. It’s really dark. It’s a lot of fun. It’s very sexy.”

As a fan of the first film -- that you can see when you watch Sin City online -- Brolin assumed he knew what he was in for on the Rodriguez set. It added up to something entirely different. And it was something he wasn't used to.

“You think it is Sin City, you come in and Robert usually shoots you up a week or two, you kind of lend yourself, you dive into this green [screen] world. You don’t know how it is going to be until you actually see the movie,” Brolin said.

Brolin adored the work that Rodriguez and Miller did with the first film, but “this is just a different level to what you did in the last one. I loved you in the last one, but I loved you in this one.”

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For Eva Green Josh Brolin

Speaking of love, Brolin is no stranger to filming sex scenes. But, tackling one in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For with Eva Green with nothing but a green screen surrounding them had to be a whole new level of weird.

“It was unnerving, but you get in there and you do your best. You try to be fearless. You have no idea, especially with green screen. You have no idea what movie you're doing. You really don't. Then, when you see the movie, you're like, 'Oh my God! I'm on a cliff right now!' or 'I'm having sex right now! I thought I was dancing!'” Brolin said and laughed.

However people respond to Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Brolin will hold his head high. And he thinks that everyone in the cast -- from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson and Powers Boothe to Mickey Rourke -- should look back and believe that they accomplished something truly extraordinary.

“You see the movie and you see how beautiful it truly is. Whether it's artistic or not, it's truly beautiful and it's truly unique,” Brolin admitted. “That's when, as an actor, it's the best feeling in the world. Whether people see it or not, we'll be able to look back on this and say, 'That was great! That was really great to be involved in.'”

Muppets Most Wanted DVD Review: They're Doing a Sequel!

$

Muppets Most Wanted had the brilliant idea to begin its sequel with a song, We’re Doing a Sequel. And the flick only gets better from there.

Muppets Most Wanted is out now on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download and it is both hilarious and heartwarming and a must-own for any Muppets fan.

Muppets Most Wanted DVD

The Unnecessarily Extended Edition of Muppets Most Wanted contains hours of bonus footage and, of course, the super fun film as well.

Jason Segel and Amy Adams are nowhere to be found reprising their roles from The Muppets, and we hate to say it, but they aren’t really missed.

Ty Burrell, Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais are our human stars, along with a bevy of cameos from Christoph Waltz to Tom Hiddleston.

As teased in the Muppets Most Wanted trailer, the Muppets gang finishes the first movie, starts this flick with the aforementioned song and then signs with an agent who promises that they are needed in Europe for the start of a world tour. Oh, and that agent -- that’s Gervais and he’s kind of our bad guy. But, not the big baddie, that’s a Kermit the Frog doppelganger who goes by the name of Constantine -- and he’s one of the world’s most notorious crooks.

His plan is simple. Get the Muppets to Europe, kidnap Kermit, switch places with him and tour Europe getting ready for the biggest heist of all – stealing the Crown Jewels in London!

When we first heard of this doppelganger idea, we were not that impressed. But, as you can tell by our theatrical Muppets Most Wanted review, it works brilliantly. What director James Bobin (who also co-wrote the film with the first film’s scribe Nicholas Stoller) has given us is a musical adventure that is also a heist film and one that never forgets to be an all-out hilarious family film too.

The Muppets Most Wanted DVD and Blu-Ray is surely going to be (sorry to say, parents) one of those home video releases that the kids are going to want to see over and over again. And you know what? The adults won’t mind because every time you see it, you notice something else brilliant about it.

When it comes to the bonus features on the home video release, we have to start by recommending that you watch the Unnecessarily Extended Cut of the film itself. Don’t even bother with the theatrical version! There are so many fantastic moments in the “Extended Cut” that you might as well just start with that.

We also have to salute The Longer Longest Blooper Reel in Muppets History bonus feature. For fans of the blooper reel bonus feature that hundreds of comedies have used before, the title says it all. Just when you think they’ve excised all the laughs from you, they keep going and going and going. And yes, the laughs keep coming too.

Muppets Most Wanted Kermit Miss Piggy

And one of the great tracks on the soundtrack, written by Oscar winner Bret McKenzie, is when Constantine sings I’ll Get You What You Want to Miss Piggy, convincing her that he’s Kermit, even though she was not so sure. It’s a fantastic song that might we suggest Disney submit for Best Song consideration at this year’s Oscars? It would make a nice bookend to McKenzie’s first Oscar for the first film’s Man or Muppet.

Lastly, another fantastic track from the film is performed in a song and dance fest by Gervais and Constantine, I’m Number One. And the inclusion of the Frog-E-Oke (like karaoke, but for singing frogs) of the track is pure brilliance. Kind of like the entire package itself!

Robin Williams Ruling Amazon Charts: 70 Percent Are Williams Movies!

Normally when a celebrated actor or actress passes, there is an increased interest in their previous work that sends a few of their films up the sales charts. Perhaps speaking to how upsetting it was when the news arrived that Robin Williams died, if you look at the Amazon DVD sales chart, you’ll notice something astonishing.

Mrs. Doubtfire Poster

Seven of the top 10 movies on their sales charts as of today are films that star Williams!

Leading the way is Mrs. Doubtfire in the 2008 upgrade DVD of the comedy that also stars Sally Field. Also generating huge sales is Good Morning Vietnam, Hook, The Birdcage, Dead Poet’s Society, Patch Adams and Good Will Hunting.

Normally one or two of a late star's films will land in the top 10 for a few days. But, the fact that 70 percent of the Amazon top 10 are films that star Williams speaks to how much we as a society truly miss and adore this man and his work.

Many of these movies feature some of our favorite Robin Williams quotes and they are all on our list of 18 favorite Williams films. See which others are our faves, and click through the below slideshow.

Exodus Gods and Kings Photos: Christian Bale Fights, Sigourney Weaver Stares

Fox has released two stills from the highly anticipated Ridley Scott biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings. The first photo (in the slideshow below) features Christian Bale as Moses and it looks like he is more than ready for a fight.

The second photo features Sigourney Weaver, who portrays the mother to Joel Edgerton’s Ramses and also serves as a type of adoptive mother to Bale’s Moses.

See, Ramses and Moses were raised like and act like brothers. It is only when God visits Moses and asks him to carry out the Herculean task of freeing the Jews held as slaves in Egypt that things get truly thorny.

Check out the Exodus: Gods and Kings trailer and one can see why Scott is most proud of this work than anything he’s done in years.

The photos appeared in EW and Bale talked about his role as one of the most famous men to ever walk the planet. “He’s one of the most fascinating characters I’ve ever studied,” Bale admitted.

“All of his trials, his troubled life and his doubts, his rages and his extremes. Can you imagine if he was alive today? He’d probably be on trial in the Hague!”

Is The Flash in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Superhero Report has posted a Twitpic that has us thinking that The Flash will be in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Given the title, we all know that the Man of Steel sequel is more of a set-up for a Justice League movie than a true follow-up to the film that introduced us to Henry Cavill as Superman.

Scott McNairy Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Set

We know that Cavill’s Superman is joined by Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and a serious rumor that Jason Momoa is Aquaman. We also believe that a Green Lantern will appear. And now, we believe, we have The Flash.

The above photo is of Scoot McNairy, and yes, it appears he is in a regular business suit. But, what are those green-screen looking socks? Honestly, those are for adding in a computer-generated graphic later… such as feet running very fast!

Warner Bros. announced Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just the beginning and they have reserved dates well into the future for a slew of superhero tales. It’s safe to say that The Flash will be one of those.

If McNairy is The Flash, it is fantastic news. He is a terrific actor, and we treasured his work in Argo (also with Affleck!).

We’ll keep you posted as these things develop, and while we wait for the March 26, 2016 release date of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, watch Man of Steel online to be all sorts of ready!

When the Game Stands Tall Exclusive: Michael Chiklis Calls Jim Caviezel a “Goofball!”

There is an incredible true story coming to screens this week with When the Game Stands Tall. It follows the De La Salle high school football team that won a record-setting (for any sport, pro or amateur) 151 games.

But, the film isn’t just about the streak. It’s also about what happens when the winning stops, albeit for a moment, and a group of young men and their coaches have to dig deep to rediscover what it means to win, and even if winning is everything.

Check out the When the Game Stands Tall trailer and you’ll see the casting of Jim Caviezel as head coach Bob Ladouceur and Michael Chiklis as assistant coach Terry Eidson is impeccable.

We caught up with Caviezel and Chiklis for an exclusive video interview where the duo talked about the joys of their onscreen partnership plus how this film is about so much more than football and that’s what compelled these two esteemed actors to the true story project.

First, we love Chiklis’ admitting his revelation when meeting Caviezel. “People surprise you,” Chiklis said.

Caviezel laughed and was taken aback. “He thought I was a Jesus freak,” Caviezel said and laughed. Well, considering he was Jesus in The Passion of the Christ, it could be an easy assumption.

“He’s kind of a goofball,” Chiklis admitted. “We laughed a lot.”

In the above interview, we ask both men what most impressed them about these two real life coaches that they portray in When the Game Stands Tall from their discussions in getting ready for the movie. “I bring up this word, ‘Authentic,’” Caviezel said of the two men -- and that's just the beginning.

It is truly a remarkable story about family, faith and football… in that order.

And be sure to check out Caviezel in that aforementioned role and watch The Passion of the Christ online.

Horns Character Posters: Daniel Radcliffe Brings Out the Devil In Us

Horns has released a pair of character posters that puts the spotlight firmly on the two characters that drive the story, played by Daniel Radcliffe and Juno Temple.

As seen in the Horns trailer, Radcliffe is living a life of bliss when his girlfriend (Temple) is brutally murdered.

Everyone in the small town he lives in believes that he has done it. What makes matters worse is that when he awakes one day, he has horns coming out of his head. Is he the devil?

As the tagline for Radcliffe’s poster says, “He will bring out the devil in you.” Which is interesting, because the tagline for Temple’s poster doesn’t paint her as so innocent: “She was his beauty, now she’s his curse.”

Makes you think, no?

Horns is based on the novel by Joe Jill, and as Radcliffe told us at Comic-Con, he was thrilled to go dark in his effort to further and further move away from the shadow of Harry Potter.

Look for Radcliffe to go devilish when Horns hits theaters on Halloween!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 DVD Review: Triple the Villainy

$
0
0

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sold itself on saying that our hero was facing his “greatest battle.” And that could not have been truer in that Andrew Garfield returns to the Spidey suit and fights off a trio of villains, the Green Goblin, Electro and The Rhino.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 DVD

As The Amazing Spider-Man 2 makes its way onto DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download, it’s an opportunity to witness some of those explosive action sequences once again. Or if you missed it in theaters earlier this summer, it’s a chance to see the next chapter in the Marc Webb Spider-Man saga.

Garfield is back, and so is Emma Stone as his lady love, Gwen Stacy. And as you can see from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 extended trailer, Jamie Foxx is Electro, Dane DeHaan is Green Goblin and Paul Giamatti is The Rhino and they all want Spidey splattered. But, we caution, it is a little more complicated than just a three-way war waged against our hero.

This is primarily a Spider-Man against Electro film and it clearly sets up what is coming next in the expanding Spider-Man universe at Sony… a Sinister Six movie. And that is one element that is teased on the bonus features that truly run the gamut.

Say what you will about the movie, it had mixed reviews upon its theatrical opening (check out our theatrical The Amazing Spider-Man 2 review). But it is a thrill ride and quite the accomplishment for Webb and his film series that now could stretch to four movies instead of the normal trilogy. This is a bigger picture flick, with clearly everyone at Sony having a bigger prize in mind. Think of it like The Empire Strikes Back (although nowhere near as powerful). It’s a middle chapter that is clearly heading somewhere. So, as an audience, you just need to have patience.

But, back to those bonus features. They are impressive and for fans of Spider-Man and appreciators of the art of blockbuster filming that employs thousands of special effects shots, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 DVD and Blu-Ray is a virtual film school of lessons on how to create a franchise film using the latest technology and even some of the oldest technology that exists.

Leading the way for us is the Peter meets his father deleted scene. With the fantastic opening scene to the movie itself, we get more insight into Peter’s father and that deleted scene where he meets him is nothing short of sublime.

That is just one of three other deleted scenes (on the DVD, there are nine total on the Blu-Ray!) and we cannot recommend checking them out enough. Webb had some tough choices with what to keep and what to cut and he chose wisely. But, it’s nice with the home video formats nowadays -- we get to see what didn’t make the theatrical version!

And as this has been Webb’s baby from the beginning, watching his The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with his audio commentary is informative, entertaining and often insightful in terms of where this franchise will go next.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Triptych Poster

The bonus feature documentary The Wages of Heroism: Making The Amazing Spider-Man 2 gets to the heart of Webb’s series and its focus on the costs to Peter Parker when he dons the suit and becomes the webbed wonder. They are high, as we’ve already seen in the first film with the death of his uncle and the disappearance of his father.

Lessons Learned: Development and Direction focuses on the entire filmmaking team and how they were laser-focused on making this not only the best sequel they could make to The Amazing Spider-Man, but they sought to make it “the best Spider-Man yet.”

Many of the action sequences will leave you wondering how they did that with the busy streets of New York City as the backdrop, particularly that Times Square sequence where Electro first battles Spider-Man.

Go inside the action of filming in The City with the impressive featurette Heart of the City: Shooting in New York.

Then, there is the introduction of the three villains. Pundits, before seeing the film we might add, felt it was too crowded to have three villains in one movie. The documentary short Triple Threat: Attack of the Villains shows how Webb and his team expertly orchestrated how to insert Electro, the Green Goblin and Rhino into their story without it distracting from the emotional pull of a riveting story.

Lastly, you have to check out Webb talking about this expanding world in the Sinister Six bonus feature. For those who are fans of this idea, it is pure gold.

Watch The Amazing Spider-Man 2 online and experience Webb’s webbed wonder right now.

Sin City A Dame to Kill For: Jessica Alba On Becoming “Fearless”

$

When Jessica Alba first uttered those Sin City quotes, she was barely 22 years old, and as anyone knows, you’re not quite yourself yet at that age. And imagine the challenge she had portraying an exotic dancer in Frank Miller’s Sin City? Needless to say, she told Movie Fanatic recently that she’s much surer of herself nine years later coming back to the character of Nancy in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For Star Jessica Alba

“I was so young and I was not comfortable in my own skin and dancing on stage. It was all kind of terrifying being on a set with these meek individuals (speaking of director Robert Rodriguez and graphic novel artist/author Miller) who don’t have strong opinions at all,” Alba said and laughed.

“I was terrified. I didn’t want to make a misstep and I knew how incredible this world was. I just didn’t want to disappoint them or myself. In this one, I felt more confident and comfortable in my own skin. If I’m going to be blessed with a career and do movies, I might as well go 150 percent and really push it and be fearless.”

Although the Sin City world of Miller is truly an ensemble, it seems like the story keeps coming back to Alba’s Nancy. And as teased in the Sin City: A Dame to Kill For trailer, one can see that hasn’t changed in the sequel. “In the first film she starts off as a little girl, and she’s a victim -- she was kidnapped and then later she was tortured -- and she gets saved by Bruce Willis’ character, Hartigan,” Alba said.

“But then in this one, it picks up after he kills himself, so the love of her life is gone. She’s devastated. She’s an alcoholic. She’s still dancing; she’s not happy about it.”

And she is hell-bent on retribution, and just waiting for the right time for it.  “It was cool to be able to take someone from this sweet, innocent, naïve victim to this very powerful warrior who takes her own life in her own hands and gets revenge,” Alba said.

Alba and Rodriguez have had a long working relationship and he has cast her in many of his movies -- most recently Machete Kills. She will do anything for him and that means even showing up without a script because she knows what he delivers is perfect for her on many levels.

“He calls me up and he is like, ‘Can you come shoot this little thing?’ And I am like, 'Okay, what is it?' 'Well, it is just this little movie, just come down just for a couple of days...' And that is just what he does, and I am there. I show up every time because it is so inspiring to be in his world, his universe,” Alba admitted.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For Jessica Alba Bruce Willis

But, with Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, it was a little different. Miller got her the script this time out because she had a feeling that Nancy would be a little more complicated than a scorned stripper.

“[Frank] snuck the script to me. Because I knew Robert was going to call me on Monday and ask me to show up on Thursday and I wouldn't have any time to prepare. I just wanted to see what I have to do! I saw that I was, throughout the script, in all these dance sequences and she is in different disguises, and so I was like I have to learn how to dance different. This is going to be great,” Alba said.

She got the help of a choreographer so she wouldn’t just be winging it. “I was prepared.”

Alba appears in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For with returning veterans Rosario Dawson, Mickey Rourke and Willis and is joined by newbies Josh Brolin, Eva Green and Joseph Gordon Levitt. She feels that their little ensemble film should be classified much deeper than a graphic novel turned into a movie (what are the 17 best graphic novels made movies?).

“It is actually very powerful for women,” Alba said. “I bizarrely think this is the perfect date movie. Like if a guy took me on a date to see this movie I would marry him for sure. It has badass chicks, rad dudes who are sexy all over the place and so much cool action.”

Check out how it all got started and watch Sin City online.

The Quiet Ones DVD Review: True Terror Tale Comes Home

$

The Quiet Ones made a bit of quiet noise when it hit theaters earlier this year, and now it should have a much wider audience as The Quiet Ones DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download premiere.

The Quiet Ones DVD

Jared Harris stars in The Quiet Ones as a British professor who specializes in the supernatural and has embarked on an experiment to prove that otherworldly entities can be created by man out of an environment that is filled with duress, sleep deprivation and more. His accomplices in this effort are Catching Fire star Sam Claflin and Olivia Cooke.

When you witness The Quiet Ones trailer, you see a tease for a story that is downright terrifying. And what makes it even more frightening is the fact that it’s based on a true story of these experiments being conducted in the 1970s.

Harris’ professor also believes that there is a connection between the mentally ill and the supernatural and he hopes that his experiments will put him on the map of academia fame and fortune. What happens, by all accounts, was pure infamy and fear.

The Quiet Ones' bonus features delve deeper into the real life world and also the filmmaking process of bringing a haunting true tale to life.

Our favorite has to be the Manifesting Evil: Visual Effects. For those who are interested in the how-to of filmmaking, this is a master class in minimalist effects that generate the largest response from the audience. As they say in all walks of life, sometimes less is more, and this bonus feature shows how director John Pogue managed to get scares out of his audience by having them use their imagination more than putting fear in front of them.

The Quiet Ones Sam Claflin Jared Harris

Welcome to the Experiment is also a treat of a bonus feature as it looks at the entire production as a whole. Pogue and his team were the right people for the job and to get a front row seat into how they made this maniacal magic is priceless.

The deleted scenes are interesting, albeit not necessary, and after seeing them, it’s easy to see why they were cut from the theatrical release. And a bonus feature that we’re used to seeing on comedy DVD and Blu-Ray releases is a welcome joy on The Quiet Ones home video. The Gag Reel makes its horror presence felt and given the tension that making this movie (and watching it) emitted, having a laugh is a good release.

For more on the film itself, check out our theatrical The Quiet Ones review, and be sure to watch The Quiet Ones online and witness a real life horror experiment come to life.

Fresh off that latest and most riveting The Maze Runner trailer, 20th Century Fox has released two clips that really give us the impression that this film is something truly special.

The first clip is called Doors and it sheds some light on the situation on the ground for the “Gladers” as they deal with this monolithic maze that surrounds them. Going through the maze is the only way out, but anyone that has entered has never returned.

Our second clip -- called Fight -- from The Maze Runner features Will Poulter as he welcomes star Dylan O’Brien in a match of brute strength that starts as very one-sided, and ends anything but that way.

The Maze Runner lands September 19 and is based on the blockbuster book by James Dashner.  The Maze Runner Will Poulter

In When the Game Stands Tall, Ser’Darius Blain and Alexander Ludwig star as members of the real life De La Salle High School football team that won a sports-wide record 151 games in a row.

The film, as teased in the When the Game Stands Tall trailer, chronicles those last few wins of “the streak,” but focuses on what happens when the team loses.

How does one pick up and find a way to win again?

Blain and Ludwig talk about how there was a life meets art moment during the actual filming of When the Game Stands Tall. See, Jim Caviezel and Michael Chiklis play their coaches in the film, and as veteran actors, they were mentors as well in real life.

“When it came to the younger actors on the set, we all deferred to them, just teach,” Blain said. “To this day, Michael is my mentor. We’re both filming in New Orleans right now and we had dinner last week and I’m still picking his brain.”

The pair also reveal to us their favorite football movie and it didn’t take them but a millisecond to name it! Theirs was the same, and it is ours too! What is it? Watch our interview above!

Ant-Man: Evangeline Lilly Shows Off New ‘Do, Is She The Wasp?

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s first photo of Paul Rudd on the Ant-Man set, we’ve got a couple of shots of his co-star, Evangeline Lilly.

Although it was muddied by comments Marvel head Kevin Feige made at Comic-Con, Lilly revealed on her Instagram account with the photos below that she will be playing Hope Van Dyne.

Feige had said that she would be playing Hope Pym, which would make her a relative of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man!

But what Lilly’s reveal of her character name also tells us is that she could be the one and only Wasp! Check out this photo of the Wasp and then tell us she doesn’t look like her in the slideshow below.

The Wasp Photo

Feige has said that Ant-Man would be a “passing the torch” movie and we always took that to mean that it was Douglas Pym passing the Ant-Man torch to Rudd’s Scott Lang.

Perhaps, there’s a double meaning there? And with the demand for a female-led superhero movie at its highest, we think Lilly could be the Wasp and could join a Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow solo movie in Marvel’s future.

All that from two Instagram pics? You bet… and yes, there are two, the second is of her and Ant-Man co-star Rudd on the set!

Ant-Man hits theaters July 17, 2015. Until then, check out Lilly in action and watch The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug online!
